Fremantle Primary School P & C are hosting a Ride to School Day for Bike Week 2018.
The event encourages students, parents and staff to ride their bike to Fremantle Primary School on Friday, 23 March. Upon arrival a healthy delicious breakfast will be prepared and served for all bike users. All bikers earn stickers and tickets for the prize drawing during school assembly on 29 March.
We are also offering free bike checks for Fremantle Primary School students and parents. Mercer Cycles will perform a five minute health check on your bike, including a condition assessment, minor servicing and bike advice. Come along with your bike for a free bike check and be in the running to win some great prizes.
At Bike to School Day, getting kids active and engaged with the neighbourhoods, outdoors, their bikes, and each other is a huge goal of ours. With the digital world becoming more and more interlaced with our world, it is important to remember the small initiatives that can keep you healthy and grounded. Bike to school day is a project that encourages students and their parents to take part in and build a healthy lifestyle while also showing them that it is fun and beneficial to do so.
This event is recipient of a 2018 Bike Week grant, made possible by the Department of Transport and WestCycle.
