The aim of this project is to provide a safe and convenient connection for pedestrians and bike riders between the existing principal shared path (PSP) along the Graham Farmer Freeway and Welshpool Road.

In the tradition of Glow Ride, FreoBUG presents the Light Me Up Ride, a gentle evening ride designed to celebrate cycling and shine a light on you and your bike.

Ride departs at 7.00pm from South Beach and winds along the beachside shared paths. The relaxed 5km return ride is suitable for people of all ages and riding abilities. Just make sure you glow!

Participants are encouraged to kit out their bikes and helmets with lights, reflectors or anything that glows.

Prizes will awarded to those with the best decorated bikes and extra points for those who use recylced or resuable materials.

Be sure to bring a jacket as the Freo Doctor can drop the temperature as soon as the sun goes down.

We will talk of the piece’s context, artist, history and where the line is drawn between street art and graffiti. We still stop for a free coffee along the way and hopefully discover some new pieces along the way. The tour is suitable for all ages and abilities so be sure to bring your camera and sense of adventure!
