Tom Price Primary School encourages students, parents and siblings to ride to school, to support bike Week 2018. The event is also a challenge against North Tom Price Primary, to see who has the most people ride to school. A light breakfast will be provided.

Family Bike Expo

The City of Karratha has come together with Roebourne PCYC, Yaandina, Heart Foundation, Act Belong Commit, WA Country Health Service, SDERA, Juvenile Justice, WA Police and the Department of Local Government and Cultural Industries to deliver the Family Bike expo comprising of health, safety and information stalls, community fundraisers, engagement stalls and competitions. Free fruit and water will be available on the day thanks to sponsorship from local businesses, Fresco, Woolworths and Water Corp.

Tom Price Interschool Bike Week Cup

The return of the Interschool Bike Week Cup! Previously won by North Tom Price Primary School in 2016, the winner this year will be the school with the most bikes used to get to each school on the 21st of March by students, staff and families.
There will be a fun ride and a healthy breakfast to celebrate the morning.

The event will be held between North Tom Price PS and Tom Price Central PS

Marble Bar Community Bike Ride and Breakfast

Participants to meet at Marble Bar Memorial Park in the morning for a free bike safety check followed by a brief talk about bike safety. Participants will then be invited to be involved in a bike riding treasure hunt around the town. At the completion of the treasure hunt a healthy BBQ will be provided.

Newman’s Amazing Bike Race

THE AMAZING BIKE RACE WITH PITSTOPS, FUN CHALLENGES AND PUZZLES TO SOLVE.

* Registrations & Bike Safety Checks starts at 8am Race kicks off at 9am
* Open to all ages and abilities. (Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult)
* Team sizes from 2 to 5 individuals.

Skills Clinic and Poker Ride

There will be beginner skills clinics in the morning with an opportunity to put the skills to use in a fun poker ride in the afternoon.

A course of approximately 3km will be set that is accessible to riders from all our normal race categories. Riders will be allocated into teams of 2 to 4 based on a random draw and dependent on participant numbers. Teams will be dealt 2 cards prior to the start of the event. For each lap the whole team completes they will receive a minimum of one card to add to their hand. A bonus card will be dealt on successful completion of a lap to any team that includes a beginner rider or a rider who is 8 to 12 years old if that team should so wish. Once a team has five cards it must discard a card or cards before being dealt any others. The teams have one hour to complete laps. At the completion of the event the team who wins is the team who has the best 5 card hand based on the rankings. After the event a BBQ and drinks will be provided for all participants.
