Historically the Beacon to Benny Bike Race dates back to the 1930’s. In more recent year’s the race has gained momentum and is run as a biennial event alternating race start and finish locations between the towns of Beacon and Bencubbin which sit in the heart of the Wheatbelt in the Shire of Mt Marshall.
The race encourages all ages and ability to participates and really promotes the act-belong-commit message that sport and recreation builds stronger, healthier, happier and safer communities.
This year the 43km road race starts in Beacon at 1pm, riders are asked to assemble in the Beacon Primary School car park for the race start and there will be plenty of water stations along the way, finishing at the Bencubbin Complex for presentations refreshments and dinner.
